Who are we?
Hi!
We are Curly and Maxie, two true Berlin natives and best friends since 7th grade. Already at school, we were the inseparable dream team, always a little different from the others (yes, to prom in latex trousers - seriously!) and known for our cheerfully open and positive nature.
After graduating, we started apprenticeships – Curly in marketing, Maxie in event technology – and gained several years of professional experience. But the idea of creating something of our own, working independently, never left us. So, in 2007, we launched our first T-shirt print collection. A fashion label was born! Our "baby" named 3Elfen slowly grew, initially as a side project, until after five years we really started to make a living from it and eventually quit our jobs.
Over time, we self-taught all the necessary skills and created, produced, and distributed enchanting women's fashion of a special kind. The division of tasks was always perfect: Curly took care of marketing and administration, Maxie of design as well as artisanal and technical tasks.
In search of our place in the fashion world, we eventually realized: no trade fair, no shop really suited us. Perhaps we were too unconventional, a niche product looking for its special admirers. So today we find ourselves in our very own place, far from the mainstream and fast fashion circus.
From "Leggings Love" to CURLIX:
A New Beginning Born of Passion
Times became challenging, and we had to reinvent ourselves. We needed a product that was simpler, for everyone and – finally again – really colorful! This is how Leggings Love was born, our label for lively, comfortable leggings that were meant to bring joy into everyday life. It was a return to our original drive: a product for everyone that still reflects our individual spirit.
However, due to trademark reasons, a new name was needed. Leggings Love became CURLIX - Leggings with Love – a fusion of our names Curly and Maxie. A name that expresses our deep connection and the soul of our label.
CURLIX is the essence of what we love and live: fashion that comes from the heart. What distinguishes us is the pure emotion in each of our pieces. Our love for mysticism and nature and our trust in our intuition radiate from our fashion. Each piece is an expression of our unique connection and the collaborative design process, which imbues every product with our signature.
Fashion with Mind and Love for the Environment
We are not fans of artificial fibers, which is why we primarily use cotton and viscose jerseys for our leggings. Natural and breathable fabrics are a must for us.
Our fabrics come exclusively from Europe and are Oeko-Tex certified. Many of our designs are our own creations and are exclusively knitted for us in Poland and dyed using digital printing.
The leggings are then produced in our Berlin studio as well as in
partner companies located in Berlin and the EU. Best quality and durability are our self-evident standard.
At CURLIX, you will find unconventional fashion with soul, created by two best friends who put their heart and soul into every single piece. In doing so, we live our values such as friendship, tolerance, openness, and our love for nature, which we consciously want to express. We cordially invite you to become part of our story.
