Who are we?
In short: CURLIX – Leggins with Love is the leggings label of Curly and Maxie from Berlin. Until spring 2025 we were called Leggins Love – same shop (leggins-love.de), same team, same leggings. We design colourful leggings, meggings, flare leggings, baggy and Marlene trousers, mostly made of cotton. Our fabrics come from Europe and are Oeko-Tex certified; sewing takes place in our Berlin studio and at partner workshops in Berlin and the EU.
Hi!
We are Curly and Maxie, two true Berliners and best friends since year 7. Even at school we were the inseparable dream team, always a little different from the others (yes, in latex trousers to the school-leavers' ball – seriously!) and known for our cheerful, open and positive nature.
After our A-levels we did apprenticeships – Curly in marketing, Maxie in event technology – and gained several years of work experience. But the idea of creating something of our own and working independently never let go of us. And so, in 2007, we launched our first printed T-shirt collection. A fashion label was born! Our “baby”, called 3Elfen, slowly grew up, at first on the side, until after five years we really started to be able to live from it and finally quit our jobs.
Over time we taught ourselves all the necessary skills and created, produced and sold enchanting women's fashion of a special kind. The division of tasks was always perfect: Curly took care of marketing and administration, Maxie of design and the hands-on technical work.
Searching for our place in the fashion world, at some point we realised: no trade fair and no shop really suited us. Maybe we were too unconventional, a niche product looking for its own special admirers. So today we find ourselves in a place that is entirely our own, far away from the mainstream and the fast fashion circus.
From "Leggins Love" to CURLIX:
A new beginning born of passion
Times became challenging and we had to reinvent ourselves. We needed a product that was simpler, for everyone and – finally, once again – really colourful! That is how Leggins Love was born, our label for lively, comfortable leggings meant to bring joy into everyday life. It was a return to our original drive: a product for everyone that still reflects our individual spirit.
However, for trademark reasons a new name was needed. Leggins Love became CURLIX - Leggins with Love – a fusion of our names Curly and Maxie. A name that expresses our deep bond and the soul of our label.
CURLIX is the essence of what we love and live: fashion that comes from the heart. What sets us apart is the pure emotion in every one of our pieces. Our love of mysticism and nature and our trust in our intuition shine through our fashion. Every piece is an expression of our unique bond and our shared design process, which gives each product our signature.
Fashion with sense and love for the environment
We are not fans of synthetic fibres, which is why we mainly use cotton and viscose jersey for our leggings. Natural, breathable fabrics are a must for us.
Our fabrics come exclusively from Europe and are Oeko-Tex certified. Many of our designs are our own creations and are knitted exclusively for us in Poland and coloured using digital printing.
The leggings are then produced in our Berlin studio and in
partner workshops based in Berlin and the EU. The best quality and durability are our natural standard.
